Junior Legal Counsel
Ben Potgieter supports the legal team on governance matters relating to GIF and our portfolio, as well as general commercial matters, and legal issues arising in relation to portfolio companies. He also plays a key secretarial role in GIF's investment process governance.
Ben brings prior experience in funds law, having previously served as a Paralegal at Harneys in Luxembourg. He was responsible for drafting a wide range of legal documentation and oversaw a number of projects including the incorporation and registration of Luxembourg-domiciled companies and ensuring the firm's compliance with the EU's Sustainable Finance Disclosures Regulation. Ben holds an LLB Bachelor of Laws and is keen to work towards his goal of practising law in the social impact sector.
