Carolina Trivelli, currently CEO of Pagos Digitales Peruanos, a company running an interoperable multitenant e-money national platform aiming to contribute to Peruvian financial inclusion. Ms. Trivelli is an Economist. She holds a MSc in Agricultural Economics from Pennsylvania State University and Bachelor’s Degree of Social Science majoring in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
She is currently President of the Board of Fundación Backus, member of the Board of Colegios Peruanos-Innova Schools and the International Advisory Board of RIMISP (Latin American Center for Rural Development). She serves as an independent member of the ExCom of CGAP. She serves as a member of the Technical Advisory Committee on Measuring Poverty (INEI) and the Fiscal Committee of Peru, an independent body appointed to oversight the fiscal policies of the country. She is currently a columnist for Peru 21, a national newspaper.
Carolina is a former Minister of Development and Social Inclusion of Peru. She was Director General of the Institute of Peruvian Studies, where she was also a senior researcher. She was President of CONDESAN (Consortium for Development of the Andean Ecoregion), Board member the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law, SEPIA (Permanent Seminar on Agricultural Research), and CARE Peru.
Ms. Trivelli specializes in issues regarding social policy, rural development and financial inclusion.
